Rastrelli Cello Quartet These four fabulous Russian cellists live in Germany and formed their unique ensemble in 2003. Since then they have performed across Europe, Russia and Canada, and now are in the midst of their second tour in the mid section of the United States. Their repertoire consists entirely of transcriptions of pieces not intended to be performed on the cello, including serious classical music by Tchaikovsky, Handel, Saint-Saens, Rachmaninoff, Grieg and Mendelssohn, as well as favorites by Gershwin, Leroy Anderson, Dave Brubeck and Leonard Bernstein. The Redhead Express From the wilds of Alaska, with a stop in Branson, MO, the Walker family, aka The Redhead Express, brings their energetic bluegrass/gospel/old-timey performance to the Prairie High School Fine Arts Hall. The Redhead Express sound features a wide variety of catchy original songs, Bluegrass, Traditional, Irish, Country, Gospel and Old Timey music. Add clogging and fun family comedy and you’ve got a must see show! This 9 member family showcases their four daughters’ beautiful harmonies while Mom and Dad add vocal depth, backup and guidance to the ensemble. Their three young boys also play and sing. It’s exciting to watch instruments change hands and leads take turns. You’ll be wowed by the energy, maturity and skill level of this talented family. |
